Client Onboarding
Step 1 — Confirm your key accounts
Please confirm you have access to:
- Google Ads account
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Google Search Console
- Google Tag Manager
- Your website admin (WordPress/Wix/Squarespace/etc.)
If you’re not sure where your accounts live, no problem — we can help you locate or set them up.
Step 2 — Grant Google Ads Access (Required)
We manage everything from inside your existing Google Ads grant account.
✅ Best Option: We Request Access
- Log into your Google Ads account
- Near the top of the page you’ll see your account name (typically your organization’s name) and Google Ads account number, it looks like a phone number: 123-456-7890
- Copy that number
- Send it to us
- We request access to manage your account
- You approve access from the prompts Google sends to you
✅ Alternative Option: Add us as a user
- Log into your Google Ads account
- Go to Tools & Settings → Access and Security
- Click the Users tab
- Click the blue “+” button
- Add your account managers email address.
- Select permission level:
✅ Admin (preferred) or Standard
If your organization has internal policies that restrict Admin access, we can work with Standard — but Admin is best for clean setup.
Step 3 — Grant Google Analytics (GA4) Access (Required)
Analytics access ensures we can validate conversion tracking and report outcomes.
- Log into Google Analytics
- Click Admin (gear icon)
- Under Account Access Management and/or Property Access Management
- Add your account managers email address.
- Recommended permissions:
✅ Editor (preferred)
Step 4 — Grant Google Tag Manager Access (If applicable)
If your site uses GTM, it’s the cleanest way to manage conversions.
- Log into Google Tag Manager
- Select your container
- Click Admin
- Click User Management
- Add your account managers email address.
- Permission level:
✅ Admin (preferred)
Step 5 — Grant Google Search Console Access (Required)
Search Console helps us validate indexing, diagnose landing page visibility, and guide the grant toward sustainable growth.
- Log into Google Search Console
- Select your website property
- Click Settings
- Click Users and permissions
- Click Add user
- Add your account managers email address.
- Permission:
✅ Full (preferred)
Step 6 — Website Access (Required)
To ensure your grant performs well, we often need to make or recommend improvements related to landing pages, forms, and tracking.
Options for website access:
✅ Best: add us as a user/admin for your CMS
- WordPress: add as Administrator (preferred) or Editor
- Wix/Squarespace: invite collaborator/admin
- Other platforms: just let us know which one you’re using
If you prefer not to provide website access, we can work via recommendations and approvals — but implementation will take longer.
After Access Is Granted — What Happens Next
Once access is complete, our onboarding process begins immediately:
- Account & conversion audit
- Fix tracking issues
- Build grant structure + intent mapping
- Launch optimizations
- Reporting tied to meaningful outcomes (not vanity clicks)
